Thai Yoga Therapy - Coastal Yoga TherapyTraditional thai yoga therapy is a therapeutic technique dating back thousands of years.  It is a deep, full-bodied treatment, which includes both the stretching of joints and muscles and applied pressure to the sen (energy) lines.  Thai yoga therapy is done on a padded mat on the floor and clients are asked to wear comfortable clothing that allows for free movement. A typical session lasts 90 minutes and addresses the entire body.  There is additional benefit to longer sessions with deeper releases.  A thai treatment is a positive, energizing and uplifting experience for the client as well as the practitioner.  Benefits can include:

  • Relief of pain due to arthritis, repetitive stress, and overworked muscles
  • Enhancing a yoga practice or other physical modalities
  • Balancing the body’s energy pathways (called “sen lines” in traditional Thai bodywork)
