Yoga for Healthy Aging 8 Week Series with Kate Marvel Wonder if yoga can help facilitate healthy aging and help you retain more of your youthful zest? Come find out the many ways that we can slow down the aging process and even make improvements on where we are right now. Learn how yoga can improve the four key components of healthy aging: strength, flexibility, agility, and balance. Keep doing the things that you love! Class will meet Thursdays at 9:30 am

  • 09/21     the feet as foundation
  • 09/28     the sacred sacrum and the intelligence of the legs
  • 10/5       building healthy joints thru muscular balance
  • 10/12     core balance and pelvis potential
  • 10/26     how to decompress the spine
  • 11/2       bringing light to dark areas of the body
  • 11/9       exploring the importance of balance
  • 11/16     training in stillness    

 

Cost

  Unity Members:    $85 for the series  $12 drop in per session Non-Unity Members:  $95 for the series   $15 drop in per session     

    

Yoga for Healthy Aging

Yoga: Beginner Basics 8 Week Series with Greg SchultzGreg Schultz adjusts the arms of a beginner yoga student     Sometimes it’s helpful to try a yoga class where everyone is also a beginner.  This series is intended to help students who are not comfortable with yoga to give it a try in a comfortable environment.  Allowance is made for injury and chronic problems.  Students will be guided through how to do poses to the best of their ability.  So, you have a chronic back problem, a bum knee or a troubling shoulder?  We’ll figure out how to keep you smiling while you learn yoga! Class will meet Thursdays at 5:30 pm

beginning 9/21 and going through 11/16

(no class 10/19)
